About Us
The story so far...
The soap shed started back in 2019 – in a shed, in my garden in Somerset of course! After being inspired by my fiancés sustainable crochet small business I was yearning for a new hobby and a way to make the planet and you lovely human beings a little happier!
We moved to the countryside because I wanted to bring up our family in the countryside away from the fast paced, turbulent city life that I had grown up in. Fortunately for me I really enjoyed making soap and have really been able to be creative with ingredients to make a less harmful impact on the environment and of course on the skin too!
All my range of products are SLS, plastic and palm oil free and unlike most shop brought soaps I don’t remove the glycerine! All my soaps are made using the traditional COLD PROCESS method that has been around for hundreds of years now and contain coconut milk which is renowned for its high levels of vitamin C, skin soothing and moisturising properties.
Quite a large focus in my life is my dedication to living a ‘spiritual’ life and in homage to that I make regular trips to Glastonbury to collect water from White Springs Well which are linked to the divine feminine and claimed to hold sacred healing properties – all my soaps are made using these waters.
